| The Laser-Scan Mousemat Nicholas Barnham, Artist in Watercolour Nicholas Barnham was born in Walsingham, Norfolk in 1939. He studied at the Norwich School of Art from 1954-1960 where his teachers in painting and stone carving included Malcolm Andrews and Jeffrey Camp. Barnham has lived in Shetland, North Yorkshire and Norfolk where the East Coat has inspired his on the spot landscapes in which trees and boats have been key themes in his work. Barnham's linear work has been strongly influenced by Piet Mondrian's early work, William Blake, Edward Bawden and Samuel Palmer. He has had a series of shows at the Thackeray gallery, The Old Fire Engine House in Ely and at the Shetland Museum Gallery in Lerwick. He has also showed at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and various one man shows in Germany, Sweden and throughout the UK. Barnham's work can be found in many collections around the UK including Cambridgeshire County Council, London Hospitals Collection, Shetland Islands Council, Sheffield City Council, Government Art Collection and many Private collections.
