Brief: A customer in Switzerland requested that we install a direct laser engraving system in their customer's premises in Giza.

August 2007

A site visit was carried out in Giza to establish the conditions for the installation. It identified the following:

  • A suitable route for moving the direct laser engraving machinery into the customer's premises that would not damage the machinery or the premises, including suitable floor loadings.
  • It was suggested that a local specialist company be involved in the movement of the machinery to their final destinations.
  • The city power supply was identified as unreliable.
  • The water supply was tested for use with the proposed installation and found to be suitable.
  • To maintain autonomy, the direct laser engraving system should have a standalone compressed air supply.
  • The environment for installation was considered suitable.
  • The customer was in possession of the appropriate documentation and installation plan.
